TIPS:
- When you draw a mind map, it is better to write down all the key concepts first, and then join them with arrows.
- Remember the arrows establish the hierarchy between and among concepts, therefore they have "names":, i.e. verbs, linkers, etc.
- Every single concept should be included in your mind map, namely NOUN PHRASES..
- You can also enhance coherence in your mind map by playing with colours and fonts.
- You have to include different issues in your mind map. Which is the most important concept? ( i.e. the "umbrella concept"?)
- Do you still need help? Google TUTORIALS for CMap Tools and you'll find tons!
- LAST: Do you feel like sharing your mind map with another colleague and work collaboratively? GO AHEAD!

Thanks a lot
Hi, Stella. I have just read the handout, and the material allows us to make several mindmaps on different topics, (e.g. Six T's approach, Differences on Language and Content, etc). May we choose one of those topics to make the mindmap or shall we include all the topics in one production?
ResponderEliminarThanks and Love,
Patricia.
The idea is to include ALL the material in a VERY BIG AND COMPLETE mind map>>>it's just some revision on theory, to brush it up, to contextualize our classes, to back up our teaching sequences.
ResponderEliminarIf you find it hard, feel free to choose the part you may profit form more.
e-hugs

Thanks, Stella. In fact, it is a hard work to include all the material. At least, for me. I don't know where to start from. Anyway, it is not impossible, and it is an interesting goal to achieve. You are making us develop our styding skills! We are supposed to show our learning strategies on the development of the mind map, as well as our reading-comprehension skills and to show our logical thinking to make a coherent mind map. Well, all in all, it is really a complete work. I am already working on it, but I have not finished it yet. We are keeping in touch,
ResponderEliminarLove, Patricia.
Yes, as Patricia has said this task seems to be holistic. There are many things to take into account. Actually we'll go back to this mind map when we design tasks, teaching sequences, etc BOTH WITH or WITHOUT technology!
